DESCRIPTION:
A beautiful patchwork rag style quilt in soft pinks and greens. Features a floral pink fabric with coordinated pinks and greens in geometric styles. The backing is a lovely crisp green and white floral. The rag style quilt has a beautiful texture with the fringing effect of the seams.
CONSTRUCTION:
The fabrics in this patchwork quilt are all 100% cotton and machine pieced for a long-lasting quilt. The batting between the layers is 100% cotton, perfect for our Australian climate. The quilting design is basic cross-hatching to combine all three layers, finished by me, in my home studio. I love making quilts and take great care with every part of the process from the quilt design, fabric colour selection and sewing, to create a patchwork quilt that will last for many years to come and hopefully be treasured by the owner.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
All my patchwork quilts and napery are made to be used and loved. They are durable and can be machine washed in cold or warm water with a gentle washing powder, tumble dried on a low setting, or line dried. If you hang them outside, it is best to hang them in the shade rather than the full sun (or hang them upside down to avoid the beautiful colours fading and bring them inside as soon as they are dry). As they are washed, they will become softer and cosier, getting more snuggly with age. The rag style quilt gets more texture the more you wash it.
