DESCRIPTION:
This quilt is a modern style patchwork. The colourful floral patterns and colours has created a beautiful quilt that is cheerful and
would brighten any room. The fabrics include plains, florals and tone-on-tone designs. The backing
fabric and binding are a mottled gold and cream fabric.
A welcome addition to any bed to bring spring colour and freshness into the room.
A great gift for an engagement, wedding, anniversary present, housewarming gift or significant
birthday.
CONSTRUCTION:
The fabrics in this patchwork quilt are all 100% cotton and machine pieced for a long-lasting quilt.
The batting between the layers is 100% cotton, perfect for our Australian climate. I finished the quilt
with a double folded binding, machine stitched to the front and back, for a neat finish that is strong and durable. The quilting design is finished by me, in my home studio, with
a long-arm quilting machine, custom quilting the flowers and a delightful outer border. I love making quilts and take great care with every part of the process from the quilt design, fabric colour selection and sewing, to create a patchwork quilt that will last for
many years to come and hopefully be treasured by the owner.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
All my patchwork quilts and napery are made to be used and loved. They are durable and can be
machine washed in cold or warm water with a gentle washing powder, tumble dried on a low
setting, or line dried. If you hang them outside, it is best to hang them in the shade rather than the
full sun (or hang them upside down to avoid the beautiful colours fading and bring them inside as
soon as they are dry). As they are washed, they will become softer and cosier, getting more snuggly
with age.
NOTES:
All quilts are made in my smoke-free home studio in Brisbane, Australia.
Fabrics are pre-washed to avoid shrinkage.
