MEASUREMENTS:
Approx. size: 180 cm x 230 cm
Quilt top: 100% cotton fabrics in beautiful Lilac, and Lime fabric some grey on a white background with small soft grey dots.
King Single bed size, can be used on a single bed, or a quilt topper on a double bed.Main photo is on a king single bed ,and in the gallery the quilt is also on a double bed.
Batting: 100% cotton. Backing fabric: 100% cotton in a soft lilac and grey mottled design.
DESCRIPTION:
Teh patchwork in this quilt creates a fun square in a square look using traditional patchwork to give a modern feel,The Lilac, Lime, Grey and white make this quilt come to life creating a beautiful quilt anyone can love and would brighten any room. The fabrics include plains, florals and tone-on-tone designs. The backing fabric and binding are a lilac and grey soft design fabric.
A great as a gift, for ahousewarming spare room, grannies in nursing homes or significant birthday.
CONSTRUCTION:The fabrics in this patchwork quilt are all 100% cotton and machine pieced for a long-lasting quilt. The batting between the layers is 100% cotton, perfect for our Australian climate. I finished the quilt with a double folded binding, machine stitched to the front back, for a neat finish that is strong and durable. The quilting design is finished by me, in my home studio, with custom quilting on a long-arm quilting machine. I love making quilts and take great care with every part of the process from the quilt design, fabric colour selection and sewing, to create a patchwork quilt that will last for many years to come and hopefully be treasured by the owner.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
All my patchwork quilts and napery are made to be used and loved. They are durable and can be machine washed in cold or warm water with a gentle washing powder, tumble dried on a low setting, or line dried. If you hang them outside, it is best to hang them in the shade rather than the full sun (or hang them upside down to avoid the beautiful colours fading and bring them in as soon as they are dry). As they are washed, they will become softer and cosier, getting more snuggly with age.
