Handmade Patchwork Bed Quilt in a Lattice style in Plum Green and Cream
MEASUREMENTS:
Approx.150 cm x 185cm, recommended for a single or double bed or a bed topper bed. The main photo shows the quilt on a double bed.
DESCRIPTION:
The quilt is a traditional pattern wit a modern twist, The bright colours create a beautiful quilt that is cheerful and would brighten any room. The backing fabric is a motley Grey/plum.
A welcome addition to any bed to bring spring colour and freshness into the room or perfect as a throw on the lounge to snuggle under on a cool evening. Also, a lovely size for a picnic blanket or to keep in the caravan.
A great gift for an engagement, wedding, anniversary present, housewarming gift, grannies in nursing homes or significant birthday.
CONSTRUCTION:
The fabrics in this patchwork quilt are all 100% cotton and machine pieced for a long-lasting quilt. The batting between the layers is 100% cotton, perfect for our Australian climate. I finished the quilt with a double folded binding, machine stitched to the front back, for a neat finish that is strong and durable. The quilting design is finished by me, in my home studio, with custom quilting on a long-arm quilting machine. I love making quilts and take great care with every part of the process from the quilt design, fabric colour selection and sewing, to create a patchwork quilt that will last for many years to come and hopefully be treasured by the owner.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
All my patchwork quilts and napery are made to be used and loved. They are durable and can be machine washed in cold or warm water with a gentle washing powder, tumble dried on a low setting, or line dried. If you hang them outside, it is best to hang them in the shade rather than the full sun (or hang them upside down to avoid the beautiful colours fading and bring them in as soon as they are dry). As they are washed, they will become softer and cosier, getting more snuggly with age.
